Inspection, step by step

Four checks before your order ships

  • Incoming check

    Batch sampling on arrival

Every lot of electronic and structural parts is checked when it arrives at our warehouse. We draw samples by batch, measure them against the drawing, and run each sample on the bench to see that it switches on and works. The incoming record shows the lot number, the sample size and the result. A lot that fails stays in the receiving area and goes back to the supplier; we do not release it to the line or mix it with stock that passed.

  • In-process checks

    First-piece and spot checks

The line leader confirms the first piece of every run before the run continues: dimensions, solder joints, button feel, sound. Through assembly, soldering and the aging bench, our inspector walks the line at set intervals and pulls a fixed number of units at each stop. What we find goes on the process sheet at that station, so a drift shows up within the shift instead of at the end of the order.

  • Pre-shipment check

    AQL sampling before dispatch

We sample finished cartons at the AQL level written into the order, normally general inspection level II, and check appearance and function on the units we draw: housing, printing, buttons, charging, pairing, playback. Defects are counted by class. The lot is held until those counts are read against the limit in the sampling plan. The inspection record ships with the documents: sample size, defects found, and the decision we took on the lot.

  • Reports on request

    Third-party lab reports

We do not hold a test report for every part we buy. When an order needs one, we send samples to a third-party laboratory and pass the result on to you, and we ask our material suppliers to fill in a declaration of what a part is made of, on the form your team sends us. Tell us at quotation which documents you need, and in which language, so the documents are ready before the goods leave.
